Hi! I'm Allison, and I am so happy that you stopped by!

Christ captivated my heart through Cru when I was a junior at the University of North Carolina. I have been a Jesus-loving, prayer-warrior, work-in-progress ever since. Shortly after my college days, I married my husband of 23 years now. It's been hard (understatement), but it's been rewarding. Praise God that He is Savior! We have 3 children, and they are easily my top prayer requests. My greatest longing in life is that my kids would know Jesus and walk faithfully with Him. 

I am passionate about God's Word, and I truly believe in the power of prayer. My "hell no" is spoken out against the twisted distortions women believe about their beauty, worth and purpose. My "heaven yes" is the truth, hope and freedom I find every day in Christ through prayer! I write about all these things (plus marriage, parenting, food and faith, home interests and homeschool) on the Pen and Pew blog.

If you're looking for perfection, you won't find it here! Ain't nobody got time for that!
